Lil Wayne Talks Retirement, Willie Nelson & Young Money Entertainment

Coming straight from SXSW, Myspace is pleased to present a special installment of CRWN.  Hosted by hip-hop media vet Elliott Wilson the latest episode features Young Money Entertainment CEO and Grammy Award winning MC, Lil Wayne. Weezy sat down to discuss his past as the youngest member of Cash Money Records at age nine, the rap group The Hot Boys, admiration for his Young Money artists (Drake, Nicki Minaj, Euro, and more) and how Carter V, Wayne’s highly anticipated new release (out May of this year), will be his last solo record. Wayne rounded out the interview talking Kanye West, marriage, recent health scares, and why he would ultimately like to be remembered like Snoop Dogg or Willie Nelson. (YES Willie Nelson!)

A live interview series, CRWN pairs the biggest names in urban music with one of the most respected names in hip-hop media—Elliott Wilson—for an intimate conversation.  Produced by watchLOUD, the series debuted in April 2013 with Tyler, the Creator followed by J. ColeWale, Macklemore, Drake, R. Kelly, ScHoolboy Q and most recently, Rick Ross.

Released in two parts, Episode 1 and 2 of the Lil Wayne CRWN interview are available here:
