Outreach, the noted drug and alcohol treatment program with offices in Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island, has been named one of the Best Companies to Work  for in New York State for the fifth year in a row.

In 2014, the non-profit organization ranked among the top 30 companies in the category of small-and-medium-sized employers, those with fewer than 249 U.S. employees.

Created in 2007, the Best Companies program evaluates and ranks the best places of employment in the state based on employee satisfaction and engagement, and workplace practices and policies.

It is unique because employees’ survey responses comprise 75% of the ranking formula.

“We are so proud once again that, for the fifth consecutive year, Outreach has been named one of the 2014 Best Companies to Work for in New York State,” said Kathleen Riddle, President and CEO of Outreach. “In a time where nonprofit and service agencies face increasing pressures, we continue to thrive. Our dedicated staff has maintained high standards of care for the people we serve.”

The Outreach award will be presented during the seventh annual Best Companies awards dinner at the Albany Marriott on the evening of Tuesday, May 6, when the final rankings of winners are revealed. The Best Companies program is a partnership of the New York State Society for Human Resource Management (NYS-SHRM), The Business Council of New York, Best Companies Group, and Journal Multimedia Corporation.

Outreach is a nonprofit organization committed to addressing the issues stemming from drug and alcohol abuse by providing the highest quality of life-changing drug and alcohol treatment and training services.

If you or someone you know needs help with a drug or alcohol problem, please call Outreach at (718) 847-9233 or visit www.opiny.org. The organization provides help for teens and adults.
