da889953-e771-4c52-b437-33a7ce65eaccGlobal multi-platinum Def Jam Recordings artist Iggy Azalea announces her return to the music scene with the release of “Team,” the lead single from her upcoming new album DIGITAL DISTORTION.

“Team,” Iggy’s first totally solo single in three years, was co-written by her, and was produced by Chordz and Fuego. The track was co-produced by Omega with additional production by Ryan and Lou.

In candid dialogue with her core fans – The Azaleans – through her raw, unfiltered Twitter account, Iggy explained the message behind “Team”: “I’ve got my own back” and “I am my own team. 20% meaningful 70% bop 10% ratchet.”

With a GRAMMY Best New Artist nomination, a shelf full of American Music Awards, ASCAP Pop and Rhythm & Soul Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, MTV VMAs from the U.S., Europe and Japan, Teen Choice Awards, and much more, Iggy Azalea owned 2014 with her back-to-back worldwide #1 multi-platinum smash hits:

• “Fancy” (featuring Charli XCX, certified RIAA 5x-platinum, with over 700 million YouTube views to date);
• “Black Widow” (featuring Rita Ora, 3x-platinum, over 410 million combined YouTube views to date); and
• “Problem” (collaboration with Ariana Grande, 6x-platinum, over 772 million YouTube views to date).

After years of honing her signature style on hip-hop’s underground circuit, Iggy Azalea exploded onto the charts and emerged as the breakout story of 2014. Her 4x Platinum worldwide smash, “Fancy” featuring Charli XCX, rocketed to #1, breaking airplay and Spotify records along the way. After an astounding 7 weeks at #1, Iggy Azalea made history on the Billboard Hot 100 as “Fancy,” rewrote the record for the longest-leading No. 1 by a female rapper. Iggy made chart history again as the first artist since The Beatles to rank at Nos. 1 and 2 simultaneously with their first two Hot 100 hits. “Fancy” was unilaterally dubbed 2014’s “Song Of The Summer.” Iggy’s debut album The New Classic peaked at #1 on the Billboard Rap Album charts, the first for an international female artist. Iggy has been nominated for 4 Grammys, 6 AMAs, 9 VMAs and countless other awards and accolades. She has performed on TV’s biggest stages, including Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, Good Morning America, Fallon, Ellen and more.
