Last month I had the chance to check out the fabulous Harlem Fashion Week and was wowed by the fashions of Arianna Laylah, Isha Conteh, Simply Ma’am, Visions by Teonah Knighton, Yvonne Jewnell New York, and Lor’Dour Designs.
The designer behind Lor’Dour Designs is Crystal Glass Warner, also the CEO of Crystal Glass Cosmetics and ACE Film Productions. Launched in July 2015, Lor’ Dour Design LLC creates custom women’s apparel, dancewear, and wedding gowns. Crystal Glass Cosmetics, launched in 2005, offers mineral-based products of foundations, lip gloss, etc. “My third venture is (Angelic Christian Entertainment) ACE Film Productions, a minority woman owned business that provides productions of commercial video and feature film productions. We produce high-end HD formatted quality productions,” says Glass Warner. Films include “Finding Nora,” currently in production; “Witness”; and “Penn Hill Rd.”
And Lor’Dour Designs were one of the highlights of Harlem Fashion Week, which kicked off with a fabulous event at the historic Museum of the City of New York on 5th avenue and Central Park.
A portion of the proceeds from Harlem Fashion Week was donated to the Junior Scholars Program at the Schomburg Library in Harlem and the Big Goree Project to restore the Slave Museum on Goree Island in Senegal, West Africa.
