MLK Weekend at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan

 

Beginning Saturday, Jan. 14, and running through Monday, Jan, 16, there will be series of special programming at the Children’s Museum of Manhattan including a Martin’s Mosaic Installation and a Historic Heroines: Coretta Scott King activity. Children of all ages will be to craft a mosaic of Dr. King’s portrait for the Mosaic Installation and also create a book about King and his wife, Coretta Scott King, while they learn more about the prestigious Coretta Scott King Book Award. Additionally, on MLK Day, there will be a performance by KaNu Dance Theater, an Afro-Caribbean dance theater group that also promotes change and peace in Haiti and around the world.
