Brand New Me: I Had A Fairweather Faces Makeover

What woman isn’t up for a makeover? I know I was ready for one. Although I have been always been fascinated with makeup, I have never been great at putting it on. Years ago, I would use makeup every day but then after a long-term move to the African island nation of Cape Verde where makeup is hardly worn, I totally forgot the little application knowledge I did know.

So now back in New York City, I called upon celebrity makeup artist Andrea Fairweather to give me a quick tutorial.

Fairweather owns Fairweather Faces where she has done makeup for the likes of Diane Sawyer, Deborah Norville, Tichina Arnold, Kyra Sedgwick, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa Hudgens, and actress Kyra Sedgwick. Fairweather Faces also offers makeup products through its Cosmetic division. It is an allergy tested, fragrance free, gorgeous makeup line designed to match and complete Andrea’s invention–Fairweather Faces Traveling Beauty Kits. The kits are designed to guide your makeup application so you can create (Andrea’s celebrity Face Chart looks) anywhere. These kits offer step-by-step makeup application guidance by matching the Face Charts and Makeup Brushes. It’s like paint by numbers for your face.

Fairweather Faces Traveling Beauty Kits

Beginning in 1997, Fairweather Faces revolutionized the beauty industry by being the first company designed to have its beauty teams bring complete beauty services to clients through its Traveling Beauty Services Experience.  Fairweather Faces’ Mobile Beauty offers on-site services to clients (nationally and internationally). The company’s employs seasoned, licensed makeup artists, estheticians, nail technicians, hair stylists, and massage therapists–covering all your beauty needs.

Now onto my mini-makeover.

First Andrea put a thin coat of balm on my face. “I protects the skin and it also helps make the application of makeup smooth,” she says of this new tip. After a thin layer of foundation, concealer, and powder, Andrea used the “Living In Gold” makeup chart from her kits. The pamphlet shows you exactly how to achieve the look. Andrea adorned my face with Gold Rush  eye shadow by Fairweather Faces. The lipstick (which I must have!) was called Eaux. It’s a shade that would look great on anyone! I was more than happy with my glowing makeover. And with Fairweather Faces kits it’s something I can do at home by myself. Imagine, a makeover every day!
