CBC’s Caribbean American Heritage Month & 6th Anniversary Celebration is on June 6th

Caribbean Business Connections, CBC,celebrates Caribbean American Heritagemonth and 6 years of working with small business owners to connect them with their prospective customers and to provide them with the necessary expertise to grow their business. On June 6th, CBC will host a cultural extravaganza showcasing Caribbean culture in cuisine, fine arts, folk music and dance. This event will be held at Mirelle’s Restaurant, 170 Post Ave., Westbury, NY 11590.

Part proceeds from will go to Union of Jamaican Alumni Associations (USA) Inc. (UJAA) High School Graduate Awards. This Awards Program offers cash awards to graduating US high school seniors of Jamaican heritage who have demonstrated outstanding achievement in their activities in school, community and/or workplace. Some of the main sponsors for the event are Neva Global Alliance, Clarke & Associates Immigration Attorneys, Homesmart CrossIsland and Caribbean Airways. Media sponsors are Street Hype, The Winners’ Circle, and CPR Live.

A key element of this is event is the CBC Culinary Championships and will see Chefs representing various Caribbean Islands compete to win the CBC 2018 Culinary Championship Trophy. Some of these chefs are Chef Yanick Pyrame– Haiti, Chef Cookie Intl– Haiti; Spices Negril Restaurant & Lounge– Jamaica; Chef Gary– Jamaica; Sati Roti– Trinidad & Tobago & Chef Doris Rodney – The Hills Restaurant Bar & Grill– Guyana. This year, one of the judges of the CBC Culinary Championship will be a Celebrity Chef and winner of the Food Network’s cooking show, Chopped.

At this celebration with ‘all you can eat’delicious Caribbean food there will be opportunity for business owners and professionals to network as well enjoy the cultural display. Early bird tickets are $15 sold before May 15th at cbc5thanniversary.eventbrite.com or $30 at the door.
