Legislator Kevan Abrahams, Empire BlueCross BlueShield, HealthPlus, Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation Corp., And Michelle Photo Studio Host No Out-of-Pocket Cost Breast Cancer Screenings

WHAT: Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D – Freeport) is partnering with NuHealth and co-sponsors Empire BlueCross BlueShield, HealthPlus, Betty’s Breast Cancer Foundation Corp., and Michelle Photo Studio to bring the NUMC mammography van to Michelle GT Photo Studio’s parking lot, located at 147 Main Street in Hempstead, from 8:45 a.m. – noon on Thursday, July 15.

Free mammograms will be made available by appointment only to women who are over age 40 and have not had a mammography within a year or longer.

Appointments are required. Attendees with health insurance must provide a prescription from their physician and film from past exams. Women with health insurance may be required to make a co-payment. For more information or to make an appointment, please call 516-325-4115.
