Fashion Designer Robert Rodriguez will attend the CFDA Awards alongside model + muse, Zlata Semenko wearing the debut gown from his new brand KOLTSON, a sustainable eveningwear collection that collaborates with local artists and artisans. The complete Fall 2023 collection will be unveiled during fashion week in February 2023.

“I am honored to be attending the CFDA Awards, one of the biggest nights for designers and fashion icons, celebrating their contributions and achievements to American fashion. I couldn’t think of a better place to showcase the first dress from my new brand KOLTSON. After working for decades in the fashion industry, I wanted to do something more meaningful than simply creating clothing. KOLTSON is a sustainable eveningwear collection that supports artists and artisans through collaborations and partnerships that allow me to intertwine their work with my own.”

WHO: Designer Robert Rodriguez trained at the Fashion Institute of Technology, and received the prestigious Critics Award for Designer of the Year. Upon graduating, Rodriguez worked at the house of Christian Dior where he learned and practiced the artistry of Haute Couture. He went on to work as the Design Director for Laundry by Shelli Segal before launching his eponymous RTW brand in 2005. In 2019, Rodriguez took on the role of Chief Creative Officer for the iconic American brand, HALSTON. After two years, he departed to pursue his dream of launching KOLTSON, an art-infused, collaboration-focused sustainable eveningwear brand.
