KATE SOMERVILLE PARTNERS WITH TERRACYCLE TO OFFER CONSUMERS A NEW WAY TO RECYCLE SKIN CARE PACKAGING

Kate Somerville™, a brand founded by a skin health care expert dedicated to helping people feel comfortable in their own skin, has launched a new way for consumers to care for both their skin and the planet in partnership with international recycling leader, TerraCycle. Through the Kate Somerville™ Free Recycling Program, recyclers can earn TerraCycle points that can be redeemed for donations to nonprofit organizations or schools of their choice with every shipment.

“Reducing waste is a global concern and offering customers ways to embrace more sustainable practices is a responsibility Kate Somerville is proud to honor. By providing our customers with product recycling options, through TerraCycle, that are easy and cost effective we are empowering all of us to work towards creating a lasting, positive sustainable impact for our planet and communities,” says Aminata Tall, Senior Vice President of Marketing.

Through the Kate Somerville™ Free Recycling Program, consumers can now send empty Kate Somerville™ packaging including ExfoliKate Intensives, KateCeuticals Total Repair Cream, Goat Milk Cleanser, +Retinol Eye Cream, and +Retinol Serum packaging to be recycled for free. Participation is easy: simply sign up on the TerraCycle program page https://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades/kate-somerville and mail in the packaging waste using the prepaid shipping label provided. Once collected, the packaging is cleaned and melted into hard plastic that can be remolded to make new recycled products.

“Through the Kate Somerville Free Recycling Program consumers can prioritize their sustainability efforts by recycling skin care products and packaging to keep these items out of the landfill,” said TerraCycle CEO and Founder, Tom Szaky. “Skin care enthusiasts now have the opportunity to not only care for their skin but the planet, as well, with every morning routine.”

The Kate Somerville™ Free Recycling Program is open to any interested individual, school, office, or community organization. For more information on TerraCycle’s recycling programs, visit www.terracycle.com.
