Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch Coming to ‘Cowboy State’ Wyoming

This summer, True Ranch Collection is set to manage the historic Blackwater Creek Ranch, just outside Cody, Wyoming. Through September 28, the Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch will offer guests an authentic western experience in the “Cowboy State,” perfectly situated along the picturesque banks of the Shoshone River and Blackwater Creek, only 15 miles from Yellowstone National Park’s East Entrance. Guests can enjoy all-inclusive three- and six-night stays starting at $1,500 and $2,700 per person, respectively, based on double occupancy.

With the launch of the Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch at Blackwater Creek Ranch, True Ranch Collection now extends its offerings of historic dude ranch experiences across Arizona, Montana, and Wyoming.

“Blackwater Creek is a natural fit for the True Ranch Collection,” said Jaye Wells, managing partner of True Ranch Collection. “There is no more iconic location than between Yellowstone and Cody, Wyoming, and we’re excited to have the opportunity to host our guests at this historic ranch.”

Unforgettable All-Inclusive Stays

Guests can book three-night stays from Sunday to Wednesday or Wednesday to Saturday, or six-night stays from Sunday to Saturday. Each stay includes accommodations, meals, ranch activities and amenities, off-ranch excursions, entertainment, and special events.

Since its establishment in 1915, Blackwater Creek Ranch has welcomed guests from all corners of the globe to its stunning location in the Shoshone National Forest. Theodore Roosevelt once lauded this area as “the most scenic 50 miles in the U.S.”

Rustic Charm and Comfortable Lodging

The ranch, nestled among tall trees, features a spacious, rustic lodge and log cabins that can host up to 35 guests. These accommodations are adorned with western-themed decor, Navajo rugs, and cozy bedding, providing an inviting and comfortable stay.

Adventures Await

At Blackwater Creek Ranch, guests can immerse themselves in classic dude ranch activities like horseback riding and hiking through the Wyoming wilderness, archery, sport shooting, fly fishing, and whitewater rafting. Additional excursions include visits to the cowboy town of Cody and the Cody Nite Rodeo, as well as opportunities to explore Yellowstone National Park. Evening entertainment and special events add to the unique experience.

Guests will savor meals inspired by local cuisine and traditional ranch recipes, including cocktails and dinners in the lodge, cookouts and campfires, and sack lunches on the trail.

Supporting Historic Preservation

Proceeds from the stays at Blackwater Creek Ranch will support the historic O.T.O. Dude Ranch near the North Entrance of Yellowstone in Montana, where True Ranch Collection previously held its Yellowstone Pop-Up Ranch in 2022 and 2023.
