Optimum, the provider of advanced internet, mobile, TV, and phone services, announced today that its 100% Fiber Internet network has been recognized by Ookla Speedtest for delivering the fastest and most reliable internet speeds across New York and New Jersey.
In addition to these accolades, Optimum’s Fiber network was also awarded titles for lowest latency in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, and was named the best gaming experience in New York. The network also achieved the status of fastest internet provider in Litchfield County, Connecticut.
Powered by Optimum’s 100% Fiber Internet with 99.9% network reliability, the service offers symmetrical upload and download speeds of up to 8 Gig. This high-speed connectivity is designed to support demanding applications such as gaming, graphic design, and video production, providing a seamless experience for users.
“Optimum has been investing heavily in network infrastructure, and the results of Ookla’s Speedtest underscore our commitment to delivering the fastest and most reliable service for our customers,” said David Williams, president of Consumer Services at Optimum, in a press release. “Fast and reliable internet has never been more critical for work, education, and entertainment, and we’re proud to be the connectivity provider of choice in our communities.”
Optimum continues to expand its 100% Fiber Internet network, now available to over 2.7 million locations, and leads in the deployment of multi-gigabit speeds across the nation. Last year, Optimum launched 2, 5, and 8 Gig symmetrical internet service within the New York Tri-State area.
Beyond fiber, Optimum customers can also access speeds of up to 1 Gig through the company’s hybrid-fiber coax network, which earned top honors for the fastest internet in various markets, including counties in Arizona, Arkansas, California, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and Texas.
