On August 12, Nissan hosted “Boots, Eats, & the Nissan Heat,” a Tennessee-themed evening that celebrated Southern culture with locally inspired cuisine, music, and fashion. Guests donned Southern-inspired attire, embracing the spirit of community and heritage while engaging with an exclusive vehicle showcase featuring Nissan’s latest models, including the Kicks, Murano, Rogue, and Armada. Adding to the festive atmosphere, Nissan created surprise moments throughout the day, as brand ambassadors distributed essentials like water, coffee, and treats from the Vineyard’s iconic Backdoor Donuts, fostering joy and connection among attendees.

The week culminated with the “Flipping the Script” panel, a discussion spotlighting extraordinary women who are redefining narratives in media, business, and culture. Moderated by Nissan Senior Manager of Corporate Communications Lloryn Love Carter, the panel featured journalist Melanie Trottman, Dr. Maya Faison, and media personality Anowa Adjah. The women shared personal stories of resilience and leadership while emphasizing how owning one’s story can inspire lasting change.
