Delta Air Lines significantly strengthened Boston Logan’s role as a premier gateway to Europe with the launch of two new nonstop routes: Boston to Madrid on May 16 and Boston to Nice on May 17. These additions, complemented by expanded service to Barcelona and Milan, mark another milestone in Delta’s decades-long investment in Boston and provide travelers with unprecedented access to Europe’s cultural, culinary, and coastal treasures.

“As Boston’s leading airline, Delta plays a vital role in connecting the city to the world,” said Paul Baldoni, Senior Vice President of Network Planning. “By adding nonstop service to Madrid and Nice, we’re enhancing our European network and continuing our commitment to providing an exceptional travel experience from start to finish.”

Madrid, Spain’s bustling capital, offers historic boulevards, world-renowned art, and a vibrant nightlife, while the French Riviera city of Nice entices travelers with sun-drenched beaches, Mediterranean cuisine, and elegant promenades. Delta’s new flights operate daily to Madrid and three times weekly to Nice on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with seamless connections to other European destinations.

The airline also expanded seasonal service to Barcelona, now operating daily since May 7, and increased flights to Milan with four-times-weekly service beginning May 16, offering travelers greater flexibility and options for both business and leisure trips. With these routes, Delta now serves 12 European destinations from Boston, nearly tripling its network from 25 to approximately 70 worldwide destinations over the past two decades.

Enhancing the travel experience, Boston Logan boasts a new Delta One Lounge offering 6,700 square feet of refined comfort, including chef-curated dining and personalized service, alongside an expanded Delta Sky Club spanning nearly 21,000 square feet with work booths, shower suites, and premium amenities, recognized as one of USA Today’s top 10 airport lounges.

All flights to Madrid and Nice operate on the Airbus A330-900neo, featuring Delta One lie-flat seats, curated dining, and Missoni-designed amenities. Passengers across all cabins benefit from Delta Studio entertainment and free T-Mobile Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members.

“Starting next spring, these flights offer our passengers even more options to travel to Europe for business or pleasure,” said Massport CEO Rich Davey, highlighting Nice as Boston Logan’s 60th international destination.

Delta’s investment extends beyond travel: with over 2,000 employees in Massachusetts, the airline supports local communities through education, sustainability, and philanthropic initiatives, including a $1 million grant to the Greater Boston Food Bank. With these expansions, Delta continues to solidify Boston as a global hub, delivering seamless European connections with style, convenience, and world-class service.
