Cyclists, mark your calendars — one of New York City’s most beloved annual traditions is back. Bike New York has officially opened registration for the 48th Annual TD Five Boro Bike Tour, set to take place on May 3, 2026. The world’s largest charitable bike ride will once again transform all five boroughs into a car-free paradise for 32,000 riders from around the globe.

The TD Five Boro Bike Tour offers participants a rare opportunity to experience New York City from an entirely new perspective — on two wheels, free from traffic, and surrounded by iconic views. Covering 40 miles through Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn, and Staten Island, the route showcases the city’s diverse neighborhoods, landmarks, and bridges, culminating in a festive finish celebration on Staten Island.

“The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is more than just a ride,” said Ken Podziba, president and CEO of Bike New York. “It’s a one-of-a-kind chance to take in New York’s landmarks and neighborhoods from the best vantage point — on two wheels — while creating memories that last a lifetime and joining a movement that’s opening cycling to everyone.”

But beyond the scenic adventure, the Tour is fueled by purpose. Proceeds directly support Bike New York’s free education and advocacy programs, which empower tens of thousands of New Yorkers each year. These include Bike Path, a workforce development initiative training formerly incarcerated individuals as bike mechanics for Citi Bike’s fleet; youth cycling programs that teach children how to ride safely and confidently; and advocacy efforts advancing safer, more equitable streets citywide.

Participants of all skill levels are welcome, from first-time riders to seasoned cyclists. Each year, the Tour attracts riders from all 50 states and more than 40 countries, uniting them in a shared celebration of community, health, and sustainability.

Registration officially opens on September 17 at 12:00 p.m. ET, and spots traditionally sell out quickly. Interested riders can sign up and learn more at bike.nyc/Tour
