TUNL Ends NYFW With a Star-Studded Gala That Blends Sports, Style, and Cultural Power

TUNL closed out New York Fashion Week with star power, style, and a bold cultural statement. On September 15, the platform that fuses sports, culture, and fashion hosted its Second Annual Gala at Lavan Midtown — a night that spotlighted creativity, athleticism, and community under this year’s theme, “Woven Knights.”

The concept paid homage to the athletes, artists, and innovators shaping global culture, celebrating the threads of resilience and intention that connect them. It also set the tone for an evening that blurred the lines between runway, locker room, and creative studio.

NBA standout Cade Cunningham took the helm as host, bringing his signature calm intensity to the festivities as athletes, designers, entertainers, and tastemakers filled the venue. The crowd was packed with sports heavyweights, including New York Giants edge rusher Brian Burns, rookie sensation Malik Nabers, Philadelphia 76ers guard Jared McCain, New York Knicks guard Miles McBride, and WNBA stars Rickea Jackson and Te’a Cooper.

Music powered the night, with a high-energy Halftime performance presented by MBG360. GRAMMY-nominated rapper Gunna delivered fan favorites “one of wun” and “Fukumean,” sending the room into a frenzy. Fellow artists Ari Lennox and Coi Leray made appearances, while DJs TJ Banks, Rae Sada, and Goldie Harris kept the beat going long after the performance.

Beyond the performances, the gala doubled as a showcase of TUNL’s growing creative impact. The TUNL x DoorDash Varsity Jacket Collaboration, designed by Kendall Hurns and unveiled by Jared McCain, honored McCain’s personal path of recovery and resilience. A dynamic PINKFLAMINGOUSA x PRIX Workshop Car Display — imagined by Chris Phan and Esther Ng — reintroduced motorsports culture through a streetwear lens.

The event also marked the debut of TUNL’s official Capsule Collection, featuring sustainable pieces crafted for the “Woven Knights” theme by designer Desyree Nicole. Guests were treated to a sneak peek of a limited-edition bike created with Arte Hausn and BMX star Nigel Sylvester, merging speed, innovation, and design.

Art remained at the heart of the night. The TUNL Arte Gallery curated photography by Steve “Sweatpants” Irby, Lenny S, and Antsoulo — capturing iconic intersections of sports, music, and entertainment. Meanwhile, the Lenny S Gold Standard Experience offered guests a chance to sit on his signature gold couch for portrait sessions that felt instantly legendary.

With support from sponsor Rémy Martin, the gala cemented TUNL’s role as a key cultural bridge — one where athletes and artists come together to shape the next wave.
