Award-Winning Author Milana Anderson Explores 25 Forms of Love in New Children’s Book as Series Nears Guinness World Records

Award-winning children’s author Milana Anderson is inviting young readers to explore the many shapes love can take in her latest release, Animal Fairy Tales Book Ten: Touch of Love. The new book marks a major milestone in Anderson’s long-running Animal Fairy Tales series and is already gaining attention beyond the bookshelf, with consideration underway for multiple Guinness World Records.

Touch of Love presents 25 short fairy tales designed for readers ages 6 to 11, each centered on a different expression of love. Through imaginative animal characters and whimsical settings, Anderson explores themes ranging from loyal and selfless love to unrequited, forbidden, fleeting, and even messy forms of affection. The stories balance humor and emotional insight, encouraging children to recognize and understand complex feelings in an age-appropriate way.

The book is currently being reviewed for the Guinness World Record for Most Distinct Types of Love Depicted in a Children’s Collection. In addition, Anderson’s full 10-book Animal Fairy Tales series, which now includes 177 original stories, is under consideration for Most Original Animal Fairy Tales by a Single Author. These distinctions would add to an already impressive list of honors, including a Gold Medal from the Moonbeam Children’s Book Awards, which recognize excellence in children’s literature.

Set in a richly imagined animal world, Touch of Love features characters whose experiences mirror real-life emotional lessons. A python learns the importance of boundaries, unlikely animal friendships challenge expectations, and muddy mishaps become metaphors for acceptance and understanding. Each tale is crafted to entertain while gently guiding young readers through ideas of empathy, kindness, courage, and emotional awareness.

The book is the tenth installment in Anderson’s Animal Fairy Tales series, which has built a devoted following for its creative storytelling and emotional depth. Previous titles in the collection focus on themes such as adventure, joy, and gratitude, using animals as relatable stand-ins for human struggles and triumphs. Across the series, boxing bears, ice-skating lions, and dancing rabbits help children process big feelings in imaginative, accessible ways.

In addition to the book release, readers and parents can explore Anderson’s storytelling style through her animated short, The Magic Love Spell, which brings her themes to life in visual form. With Touch of Love, Anderson continues to position fairy tales as more than bedtime stories, using them instead as tools that help children feel understood while navigating the emotional complexities of growing up.
