Delta Air Lines is setting the stage for an unforgettable summer 2026 with its largest transatlantic schedule in history. The airline has added seven new nonstop routes from U.S. cities to Europe, strengthened key gateways, and enhanced premium experiences both on the ground and in the air, giving travelers more options than ever for European adventures.

Starting in May 2026, travelers from Boston and Seattle can access some of Europe’s most iconic destinations. Boston will offer nonstop flights to Madrid (May 6) and Nice (May 16), while Seattle will now fly directly to Rome (May 6) and Barcelona (May 7). For New York City flyers, Delta adds routes to Olbia, Sardinia (May 20), Porto (May 21), and Malta (June 7). Each city promises distinct cultural experiences, from Madrid’s tapas and plazas to Malta’s sun-soaked Mediterranean coasts and ancient fortresses.

These new routes complement Delta’s expanding transatlantic network, which in summer 2026 will feature over 650 weekly flights to nearly 30 European destinations. Seasonal favorites, like Catania, Italy, will return in April, providing a well-rounded map for beachgoers, history buffs, food lovers, and culture seekers alike.

For those eager to travel before summer, Delta’s winter schedule includes popular European cities such as Amsterdam, Paris, London, Dublin, Athens, Marrakech, and Zürich. Winter travel offers its own advantages: smaller crowds, atmospheric settings, and unique seasonal experiences like Amsterdam’s illuminated canals or London’s theater scene.

Delta is also elevating the travel experience beyond the flight itself. Passengers can access the largest lounge footprint of any U.S. airline, including 56 Delta Sky Clubs worldwide and Delta One Lounges at JFK, LAX, BOS, and SEA. The airline is deploying more widebody aircraft on transatlantic routes, offering Delta One, Delta Premium Select, and Delta Comfort with added space and elevated dining.

A new culinary partnership with chef José Andrés will bring Spanish-inspired dishes and curated wine pairings to select Delta One and Delta First cabins. Inflight entertainment is expanding, too, with ad-free access to YouTube content and Crunchyroll anime selections on Delta’s 165,000+ seatback screens, making long-haul flights more engaging than ever.
