Jet Linx is introducing a new way for private jet travelers to share flights without sacrificing privacy.
The Omaha-based aviation company has officially launched MemberSeat Exchange, a private flight-sharing platform available exclusively through the new Jet Linx app. The service allows eligible Jet Card Members and aircraft owners to offer or request available seats on upcoming flights within Jet Linx’s closed client network.
The move reflects growing demand in private aviation for more flexible and cost-efficient travel options while maintaining the exclusivity and personalized service high-end flyers expect.
MemberSeat Exchange builds on Jet Linx’s earlier OpenSeat Exchange program, first introduced in 2006, but modernizes the concept through a mobile-first experience focused on privacy, convenience, and operational control.
Unlike public charter marketplaces or empty-leg websites that sell discounted private flights to the general public, Jet Linx’s platform is designed strictly for existing members inside the company’s vetted ecosystem.
Clients can browse available seats on already scheduled Jet Card Member flights or make seats available on trips they have already booked. Travelers who choose to share seats may also offset a significant portion of their travel costs.
To protect privacy, identities remain anonymous until both parties mutually confirm the arrangement.
The company says the program also includes flights operated by aircraft owners within the Jet Linx network, although participation remains completely optional.
“The MemberSeat Exchange represents an innovative extension of our client-first philosophy,” said Jamie Walker. “We are always looking to enhance our services to provide our clients with more flexibility and value, while ensuring every flight remains private, secure, and fully within the trusted Jet Linx community.”
The launch highlights a broader shift happening across the private aviation industry, where operators are increasingly looking for smarter ways to maximize aircraft usage while offering more options to frequent travelers flying popular routes.
Jet Linx believes its nationwide infrastructure gives it a unique advantage in offering those services while maintaining strict quality and safety standards.
Founded in 1999, Jet Linx operates through a local-service model with 22 base locations across the United States. The company provides aircraft management services and Jet Card Memberships, operating flights to more than 180 countries worldwide.
Its fleet ranges from light jets to heavy aircraft, and the company holds both ARGUS Platinum Elite and WYVERN Wingman PRO safety certifications.
With MemberSeat Exchange, Jet Linx is betting that private flyers want more than luxury alone — they also want flexibility, efficiency, and technology-driven convenience without opening the door to the unpredictability of public charter marketplaces.
