Veteran rock band Taking Back Sunday is hitting the road this fall with an ambitious headlining tour that will reunite the group with longtime friends and fellow alternative rock favorites Thrice and Saves The Day.
The newly announced tour will kick off on September 16 in Nashville and travel across North America, making stops in major cities including Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Salt Lake City, San Diego, Las Vegas, and more. The month-long run is expected to be one of the band’s biggest tours in recent years, bringing together three influential acts that helped define the emo and post-hardcore music scenes of the 2000s.
Frontman Adam Lazzara said the band has been preparing extensively for the upcoming shows and is excited about the chemistry of the current lineup.
“We’ve been planning and preparing for this tour for a while,” Lazzara said in a statement. “I am so happy with how the band has taken shape. We also get to play a special show on a beautiful night in October at Red Rocks to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Louder Now.”
That special performance will take place on October 14 at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The concert will commemorate the 20th anniversary of Louder Now, one of Taking Back Sunday’s most successful albums. The event will feature support from Thrice and Saves The Day and will mark the only headline performance of the complete album scheduled for 2026.
Adding to the excitement, former guitarist Fred Mascherino will join the band’s live lineup throughout the year. Mascherino, who played a key role during one of the group’s most popular eras, will perform alongside guitarist John Nolan, creating a lineup that many longtime fans have been eager to see.
The band is also working with Craft Recordings on a special anniversary edition of Louder Now, with additional details expected in the coming months.
Before embarking on the fall trek, Taking Back Sunday will spend much of the spring and summer on the road. The group is scheduled to tour with Bayside beginning May 29 in Philadelphia and will also appear at major festivals including Dia Libre Festival in Mexico, the United Kingdom’s Slam Dunk Festival, Vans Warped Tour, Louder Than Life Festival, and Shaky Knees Music Festival.
Since emerging from Long Island’s thriving rock scene more than two decades ago, Taking Back Sunday has built a devoted fan base through emotionally charged lyrics, energetic performances, and influential albums that helped shape a generation of alternative music.
Tickets for the fall tour went on sale May 1. Fans can find additional tour information through the band’s official website.
