Fashion icon and entertainer Isaac Mizrahi brought his signature blend of music, humor, and storytelling to the Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts as part of the venue’s annual Pride Month celebration.
The acclaimed performer took the stage with his jazz band on June 26 in Caramoor’s Venetian Theater in Katonah, New York. The concert is part of Caramoor’s 2026 Summer Season, which featured more than 30 performances from June 20 through Aug. 2, and marked the organization’s third annual Pride celebration in partnership with The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center.
Known for his decades-long career spanning fashion, television, theater and music, Mizrahi has become a celebrated cabaret performer whose annual residency at New York City’s Café Carlyle routinely sells out. This year also marks the 10th anniversary of his performances at the iconic Manhattan venue.
Backed by an accomplished jazz ensemble featuring music director and pianist Ben Waltzer, trumpeters Kellen Hanas and Chloe Rowlands, bassist Neal Miner, drummer Joe Strasser and percussionist Dan Aran, Mizrahi performed an eclectic mix of songs from artists ranging from Madonna to Stephen Sondheim. The evening will also feature his trademark comedic observations and candid personal stories that have made his live performances a favorite among audiences.
Mizrahi has spent more than 35 years building a career that defies easy categorization. While he first gained international recognition as a fashion designer, he has since become equally known as a singer, actor, television host, producer and author.
In 2022, he made his Broadway debut as Amos Hart in Chicago, earning praise for his charismatic stage presence. His influence also extends to television, where he hosted the Emmy Award-winning The Isaac Mizrahi Show and served as a judge on all seven seasons of Project Runway: All Stars. He continues to develop projects through IM Entertainment and currently serves as a consulting producer on Hulu’s Mid Century Modern.
Mizrahi is also celebrating the enduring legacy of Unzipped, the acclaimed documentary chronicling his fashion career, which marked its 30th anniversary at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. His bestselling memoir, I.M., offered readers another glimpse into his multifaceted life and career.
Set amid Caramoor’s 81-acre estate of historic gardens and woodlands, the concert offers audiences an opportunity to experience one of entertainment’s most versatile talents in an intimate setting that combines music, culture and natural beauty during one of the Hudson Valley’s signature summer arts seasons.
