Play Playground Nashville is bringing the spirit of a neighborhood backyard party to Music City this Labor Day weekend with four days of games, food, drinks and live entertainment.
The first Backyard Games Weekend will run from Friday, Sept. 4, through Monday, Sept. 7, at the social game destination just off downtown Nashville’s Broadway.
The adults-oriented celebration will feature tournament-style competitions, themed food and beverage specials, live entertainment and activities inspired by the casual atmosphere of a backyard barbecue.
Guests can compete in cornhole and beer pong tournaments, participate in hourly team competitions and challenge friends while a live DJ provides the soundtrack. The venue’s interactive game room also offers larger-than-life games and hands-on challenges that combine familiar favorites with more competitive activities.
The event is designed around friendly competition, giving groups an opportunity to socialize while participating in games rather than simply watching from the sidelines.
Food and drink specials will add to the holiday weekend atmosphere. Offerings include $20 beer buckets, a two-hot-dogs-and-chips combination for $8 and 16-ounce watermelon NÜTRL seltzers for $11.
Guests can purchase general admission or VIP Play Passes to participate in the weekend activities. Access to the destination’s rooftop bar is free.

During Labor Day weekend, Play Playground Nashville will be open from noon to midnight Friday and Saturday, noon to 11 p.m. Sunday and 3 to 11 p.m. Monday.
Admission is open to guests ages 13 and older before 7 p.m. and is restricted to those 21 and older with valid identification after 7 p.m.
With Labor Day traditionally marking the unofficial end of summer, the four-day event offers Nashville residents and visitors a way to close out the season with games, music, food and drinks.
