Malan Breton brought New York Fashion Week to a cinematic close with the debut of his Spring/Summer 2027 collection, “Le Jardin des Mille Demains,” or “Garden of a Thousand Tomorrows,” at Sony Hall.
The collection marked both a celebration of Breton’s extensive career and a farewell to New York as he prepares to begin his next chapter in Rome. Known for work spanning fashion, film, television, theater, music and performance, Breton used the runway presentation to reflect on his creative journey while looking toward the future.
The evening opened with a short fashion film directed by Breton and shot in London, the city where he learned tailoring. Nominated for two awards from the London Fashion Film Festival, the film introduced the world of “Le Jardin des Mille Demains” and centered on the idea that every second presents an opportunity to begin again. King Seiko provided the timepiece featured in the film.
The runway presentation brought together several performers and models connected to Breton’s past shows, including Carmit Bachar, Jessica Sutta of The Pussycat Dolls, Peppermint of Netflix’s “Survival of the Thickest” and actress Mimi Tao.
The show also featured a special performance by house music legend Crystal Waters, who closed the presentation with a musical finale.
The production included contributions from Leviev Diamonds, House of Monroe millinery and Odilis Trinidad, with beauty services provided by Odilis Lashes. Joseph DiMaggio led hair for Pomo and Rica Haircare. Andrew Winans directed the runway show, while Montgomery Frazier served as stylist.
Breton’s fashion house has built an international reputation around tailoring, couture craftsmanship and a distinctive blend of British and European influences. Breton began his training under a Savile Row tailor with a Royal Warrant before studying couture with one of America’s prominent couturiers. That background continues to inform the brand’s approach to precision, structure and elegance.
Over more than three decades, Breton’s designs have appeared on international red carpets, magazine covers and fashion runways in cities including New York, London, Paris, Milan, Vienna, Athens, Bangkok and Shenzhen. His clients and collaborators have included performers, actors, musicians and cultural figures from around the world.
The designer’s work has also extended beyond traditional fashion, including fashion films, theatrical costumes, uniforms, entertainment collaborations and projects connected to cultural institutions.
Philanthropy and education have remained part of the brand’s identity, with initiatives supporting dementia awareness, pediatric health care, education, adoption advocacy and underserved communities.
With “Garden of a Thousand Tomorrows,” Breton offered New York a final runway statement before turning toward Rome. The collection served as both a look back at the designer’s journey and a reminder of his forward-looking creative philosophy: wherever the next chapter begins, the opportunity for reinvention remains.
