Molière in the Park is expanding its leadership team with the appointment of entertainment executive, entrepreneur and arts patron Alessandro Uzielli to its Board of Directors.
The Brooklyn-based organization, known for presenting free, world-class theater, announced the appointment July 30. Uzielli brings decades of experience across film, entertainment, brand development, luxury retail, hospitality and cultural philanthropy as Molière in the Park continues to expand its programming and reach new audiences.
Uzielli’s career has centered on storytelling and creating experiences that connect people. A native New Yorker, he earned a film degree from Boston University before receiving an MFA from the American Film Institute. He began his career as a film producer in Los Angeles before joining Ford Motor Co., where he founded the company’s Global Brand Entertainment division.
During his time at Ford, Uzielli developed partnerships spanning film, television, music and digital media, including collaborations connected to the James Bond franchise.
His producing credits include the documentary “A Faster Horse,” which follows the development of the sixth-generation Ford Mustang, as well as the award-winning mockumentary “John Bronco.” He also co-produced “The 7 Faces of Jane” with Roman Coppola, a film featuring the Ford Mustang Mach-E.
Uzielli’s work extends beyond entertainment. He was an owner of British luxury brand Halcyon Days and became involved in preserving Hollywood history through his ownership and stewardship of La Dolce Vita, the Beverly Hills restaurant associated with the city’s golden era of film.
Molière in the Park Board President Kaliswa Brewster said Uzielli’s background in storytelling, creative strategy and the arts makes him a strong addition to the organization’s leadership.
Executive Artistic Director Lucie Tiberghien also highlighted Uzielli’s belief in the ability of art to bring people together. She said his experience across film, entertainment, design, hospitality and philanthropy aligns with the organization’s mission of making theater accessible to the public.
Uzielli said he has long admired organizations that create opportunities for people to gather around compelling stories. He said he is honored to support Molière in the Park as it works to enrich Brooklyn’s cultural landscape.
The appointment comes as Molière in the Park prepares for its 2026 production of “Don Juan,” Molière’s dark comedy translated by Stephen Wadsworth and directed by Tiberghien.
The free outdoor production is scheduled to run Sept. 5-27 at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park. An Opening Night Benefit Performance is planned for Sept. 10, featuring a pre-show cocktail reception and post-show celebration.
Uzielli is also a longtime arts advocate and photography collector. For more than 30 years, he has supported photography councils associated with institutions including the Getty Center, LACMA, MOCA, DIA and MoMA. His addition to the board brings another connection between the worlds of entertainment, culture and public arts.
