Post-hardcore and alternative rock band Thrice is bringing its genre-defying sound to Long Island this fall when the group performs Sept. 24 at the Bay Stage at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh.
Thrice will join Taking Back Sunday for the Jones Beach performance, with doors opening at 6 p.m. Tickets are priced at $79 and up, and the concert is open to all ages.
The performance comes as Thrice continues to tour behind its 12th studio album, Horizons/West, released in October. The album follows 2021’s Horizons/East and serves as a direct continuation while establishing its own musical identity.
Horizons/West features 11 tracks exploring themes including personal identity, spiritual awakening and the challenges of living in an increasingly technology-driven society. The album combines post-rock textures, cinematic production and elements that reflect the band’s earlier sound.
The release has earned attention from outlets including The Hollywood Reporter, Knotfest, New Noise Magazine, BrooklynVegan and Metal Hammer. The Hollywood Reporter praised frontman Dustin Kensrue’s vocals, while New Noise Magazine highlighted the band’s creative evolution during its 25-year career.
In February, Thrice released an Audiotree From Nothing session featuring songs from Horizons/West. The performance includes “Vesper Light,” “Albatross,” “Holding On” and “Gnash,” showcasing the band’s musicianship and range through a combination of intimate and powerful performances.
The band’s busy touring schedule has continued throughout 2026. After an extensive North American tour in support of Horizons/West in 2025, Thrice embarked on a European and United Kingdom headlining tour before appearing at the Sonic Temple Festival in Columbus, Ohio.
The group also has dates supporting Jimmy Eat World, including performances in New York City, Philadelphia and Boston. Thrice will close out the year with a Halloween performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, where the band will support My Chemical Romance.
Formed more than two decades ago, Thrice has built a reputation for continually evolving its sound while maintaining a distinctive musical identity. Horizons/West represents another chapter in that evolution, combining the band’s established rock foundation with expansive production and introspective themes.
For Long Island fans, the Jones Beach performance offers an opportunity to experience Thrice’s latest material alongside the energy of Taking Back Sunday in one of the region’s most recognizable outdoor concert settings.
