XOXO Turns 19: Gossip Girl Fans Relived the Series Across New York City

XOXO, Gossip Girl fans. New York City got another dose of Upper East Side glamour this September with a one-day-only anniversary tour celebrating 19 years of Gossip Girl.

On Location Tours hosted the special “XOXO Turns 19: The Ultimate Gossip Girl Anniversary Tour” on September 19 at 10:30 a.m. The approximately four-hour experience was $160 per person and was designed to take longtime fans and newcomers through some of the most recognizable locations connected to the hit television franchise.

The tour offered fans an opportunity to revisit the Manhattan settings that helped make Gossip Girl synonymous with New York luxury, teenage drama and Upper East Side intrigue. Among the stops was the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art, where guests will have the opportunity to walk up the famous steps featured prominently in the original series.

The experience also included a visit to the Museum of the City of New York, which served as the backdrop for Constance Billard and St. Jude’s. Other stops connected to the original series included locations associated with Vera Wang, Ladurée and The Empire Hotel.

Fans of the Gossip Girl reboot also recognized several locations featured in the newer series. The itinerary included the New York Academy of Medicine, House of the Redeemer, Nightingale-Bamford School and Park Avenue Armory, among other locations.

The anniversary experience concluded at The Empire Hotel Rooftop with the Ultimate Gossip Girl Experience, which is included in the ticket price. Guests enjoyed a specially created XOXO Gossip Girl cocktail or mocktail while sampling Upper East Side-inspired bites, including tea sandwiches and macarons.

The special tour was part sightseeing experience, part television nostalgia and part New York City adventure.
