Eri Maldives is preparing to celebrate its first festive season since opening with a holiday program inspired by La Dolce Vita, bringing a blend of Mediterranean-inspired style, Maldivian culture, food and island adventures to guests from Dec. 22 through Jan. 7.
Located in the Maldives, the resort will transform for the season with ceramic-inspired patterns, lemons, woven baskets and lights strung among the palms, creating a relaxed holiday atmosphere against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean.
The festivities begin with The Christmas Glow, featuring the resort’s first tree lighting beneath the sunset, accompanied by carols, cocktails and canapés. Guests can also participate in a gingerbread-house decorating workshop designed to add a hands-on activity to the holiday schedule.
Christmas Day will include a visit from Santa followed by the Christmas Banquet at Soul Kitchen, where guests can enjoy festive tropical dishes. The holiday program continues with beach games and Zumba during the first Erilympics on December 29.
New Year’s Eve will bring a full day of activities, beginning with a treasure hunt across the island. The evening will continue with a gala dinner featuring live cooking stations before guests gather for the Seaside Soirée, complete with a costume competition, DJ sets, a beach party and fireworks over the water at midnight.
The following morning offers a slower pace with the New Year Reset Brunch, followed by group water-sports sessions during the First Ride of the Year.
Food is also central to Eri Maldives’ festive program. Guests can sample Maldivian seafood during the Coastal Feast, including reef lobster and grilled fish, or learn traditional recipes through The Island Kitchen cooking class. The resort will also host Maldivian High Tea and a pop-up market featuring local crafts and street food.
Daily sunset experiences will feature themed drinks and DJ sets, while a wine tasting at Sip & Dip on January 2 will pair selections with sharing plates.
Beyond dining and entertainment, guests can explore the Maldives through ocean ecology and geology talks, sunset fishing excursions and Secrets of the Sea storytelling nights. A Great Reef Trivia event will also test guests’ knowledge of the surrounding marine environment.
For those seeking relaxation, Eskape Spa will introduce the Eskape Journey, combining a cocoa coffee sugar scrub with a full-body massage. Couples can also book a private Castaway Table lunch on a secluded sandbank.
Studios start at £179 per night and Beach Villas at £241 per night on Full Board, with additional offers available through Eri Maldives.
