For more than 4,000 years, the olive tree has been associated with beauty, vitality, strength and transformation. Now, its legacy is inspiring a couture creation at New York Fashion Week.

OLIVE TREE PEOPLE, OLIVEDA, and OLIVE ROSE are partnering with internationally acclaimed designer Bibhu Mohapatra for his New York Fashion Week show at The Pierre Hotel in Manhattan. The collaboration will feature the unveiling of a one-of-a-kind Olive Rose Gown created exclusively for the beauty brands.

The gown brings together the imagery of the olive tree and the rose, incorporating olive leaves and the beauty and sensuality associated with the rose. The companies describe the design as a meeting point between ancient beauty traditions and contemporary fashion.

“For thousands of years, the olive tree has represented beauty, strength and life. Bibhu did not simply place olive leaves and roses on a dress. He translated the soul of our world into couture. On Monday, the olive tree will no longer stand beside the runway. It will walk it,” said Thomas Lommel, founder of Olive Tree People.

The fashion collaboration also extends to the beauty looks backstage. More than 20 makeup artists, led by OLIVE ROSE Chief Celebrity Makeup Artist Luis Casco, will work with models and invited VIP guests for the show.

OLIVE TREE PEOPLE has built its beauty philosophy around what it calls Waterless Beauty. The company says its skincare replaces the water commonly used in conventional skincare formulas with a bioactive olive-leaf elixir, while incorporating olive-tree ingredients including Arbequina olive oil.

OLIVE ROSE extends that approach into color cosmetics, with formulas described as waterless and powered by hydroxytyrosol. The brand first appeared at New York Fashion Week the previous year and is returning with a larger presence that connects makeup, skincare and fashion.

Guests attending the show will also receive one of OLIVE TREE PEOPLE’s signature hand-braided olive crowns. The tradition draws on the olive crown’s associations with beauty, peace, strength and victory.

The beauty experience will include the recently introduced OLIVEDA hydroxytyrosol hydrogel face masks and eye patches. Guests can use the treatments during the busy fashion week schedule as a 20-minute skincare ritual.

The collaboration is designed to carry the olive tree’s influence from the runway to backstage beauty and the front row. With Mohapatra’s couture design, OLIVE ROSE makeup and OLIVE TREE PEOPLE’s skincare philosophy coming together, the partnership places an ancient botanical tradition at the center of a modern New York Fashion Week experience.
