In a major move for combat sports, BKB Bare Knuckle Boxing has announced a multi-fight partnership with Telemundo, positioning the Miami-based, Hispanic-owned promotion as a cornerstone partner on Telemundo’s new 24/7 FAST channel, Telemundo Deportes Ahora. The collaboration kicked off with the live broadcast of BKB 44 Denver Brawl V on August 16, which saw Mexico’s Paty Juarez successfully defend her BKB Lightweight championship in a rematch against Khortni Kamyron.
The partnership underscores BKB’s ongoing mission to grow the sport globally while catering to Spanish-speaking audiences in the U.S., Latin America, and beyond. The company already has an international footprint through deals with News UK’s talkSPORT for live broadcasts in the UK and Ireland and with VICE for English-language coverage in the U.S. and Canada.
Mike Vazquez, BKB Chairman, emphasized the significance of the partnership: “We have built a loyal audience of Spanish-speaking fight fans through our online viewership, brand partnerships, and live shows. Having Telemundo broadcast our live events is a natural evolution for our company and for the sport of bare knuckle boxing.” BKB’s Spanish-language broadcasts feature acclaimed commentators such as Claudia Trejos, Benny Ricardo, Ricardo Celis, and Rodolfo Roman, ensuring that fans receive expert play-by-play coverage alongside high-energy fight action.
BKB CEO David Tetreault highlighted the sport’s growing appeal, saying, “Fight fans are tired of long, drawn-out boxing matches and ground-centric MMA bouts. BKB delivers fast-paced, intense matches that appeal to today’s audience. Broadcasters and sponsors are finally recognizing the excitement and mainstream potential of bare knuckle boxing.”
Telemundo shares this enthusiasm. Joaquín Duro, Executive Vice President of Sports, stated, “Telemundo Deportes Ahora was built to deliver high-energy, culturally relevant sports content to digitally savvy Hispanic audiences. Partnering with BKB allows us to offer an electrifying, fast-paced combat sport while elevating BKB as a key content pillar for our channel.”
Over the past two years, BKB has transformed the sport by merging with the UK-based BKB, acquiring the historic Police Gazette Diamond Belt, introducing ethical and legalized betting, and expanding live lineal television coverage. These moves have positioned BKB as the largest bare knuckle boxing organization in the world, with unmatched roster depth, event library, and distribution reach.
