Delta Air Lines is expanding its global footprint with a milestone new route, launching nonstop flights from its Atlanta hub (ATL) to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia (RUH) beginning October 23, 2026. The move underscores Delta’s commitment to connecting key global markets and supporting long-term economic, cultural, and tourism ties between the United States and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“Launching service to Riyadh marks a key step in Delta’s global growth as we start our second century of flight,” said Ed Bastian, Delta CEO. “This route reflects our vision to create meaningful opportunities and experiences in every corner of the world.”
The service will operate three times weekly on Delta’s Airbus A350-900, with a special daily schedule from October 23-30, 2026, offering four travel classes: Delta One®, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main. Passengers in Delta One® will enjoy lie-flat seats, chef-curated meals, and Missoni-designed amenities. Delta Premium Select provides wider seats with deeper recline, while Delta Comfort offers extra legroom, early boarding, and dedicated bin space. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia’s capital, combines rich heritage with forward-looking growth under Vision 2030. The city is emerging as a global hub for business, tourism, and innovation, making Delta’s direct connection a strategic addition. His Excellency Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Minister of Tourism for Saudi Arabia, welcomed the news: “Delta’s nonstop flights mark a significant milestone in strengthening global connectivity between our nations, opening doors for tourism, cultural exchange, and business.”
Travelers to Riyadh can explore a dynamic blend of experiences—from off-road adventures and the dramatic Edge of the World (Jebel Fihrayn) to the refined luxury of Via Riyadh and the colorful energy of traditional souks. The route also provides Riyadh travelers with one-stop access to more than 150 U.S. cities, enhancing connectivity across North America.
At over 7,000 miles, this route is among Delta’s longest, highlighting the airline’s expanding network of over 300 destinations worldwide. The Riyadh launch follows a series of new routes added in recent months, including Marrakech, Melbourne, Sardinia, Porto, Hong Kong, and Malta, reflecting Delta’s dedication to connecting passengers to key global markets.
As Delta continues its international expansion, the Atlanta-Riyadh route represents a major step in bringing people, cultures, and business opportunities closer together, reinforcing the airline’s role as a bridge between the U.S. and the fast-growing Middle East.
