Tom Felton Extends Historic Broadway Return as Draco Malfoy Through November 2026

Fans of the Wizarding World will have more time to see Tom Felton reprise one of his most famous roles. Producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have announced that Felton will extend his acclaimed Broadway run as Draco Malfoy through November 1, 2026, at New York City’s Lyric Theatre.

The extension comes after a remarkably successful return to the character that made Felton a global star. Best known for portraying Harry Potter’s longtime rival in all eight blockbuster films, Felton made his Broadway debut in November 2025 when he joined the cast of the Tony Award-winning production.

His arrival generated significant excitement among fans and theatergoers, helping propel the show to record-breaking success. Since Felton joined the production, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child has consistently ranked as Broadway’s top-grossing show. The production also set a Lyric Theatre box office record, earning $3.7 million during the nine-performance week ending December 28, 2025.

Felton’s appearance is particularly notable because he is the first actor from the original Harry Potter film series to join the stage production. His return offers audiences a rare opportunity to see a beloved movie character brought to life by the same actor in a new chapter of the story.

Set 19 years after the events of the original novels and films, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child follows Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, Ron Weasley, and Draco Malfoy as adults navigating parenthood while their children begin their own journeys at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

In the stage production, Draco is no longer the arrogant schoolboy fans remember. Instead, he is a father raising his son, Scorpius Malfoy, while confronting the legacy of his past.

The current Broadway cast also features John Skelley as Harry Potter, Trish Lindstrom as Ginny Potter, Rachel Christopher as Hermione Granger, Daniel Fredrick as Ron Weasley, Janae Hammond as Rose Granger-Weasley, Aidan Close as Scorpius Malfoy, and Kristen Martin as Delphi Diggory.

Tickets for the production are now on sale, with prices beginning at $80. The extension gives fans additional opportunities to witness a unique moment in Harry Potter history as one of the franchise’s most recognizable actors continues his record-breaking Broadway run.

While Felton will appear in most performances through November, producers noted that he is not scheduled to perform during several weeks throughout the year, including portions of May, August, September, and October.

For longtime Harry Potter fans, Felton’s Broadway return remains a nostalgic and highly anticipated theatrical event, blending the magic of the films with the excitement of live theater.
