One of New York City’s most cherished summer traditions is making its return, giving movie lovers another reason to spend warm evenings outdoors in the heart of Manhattan.

Paramount+ Movie Nights at Bryant Park will officially return on July 13 for its annual season of free outdoor film screenings. Running every Monday night through September 14, the popular series will once again transform Bryant Park into one of the city’s largest open-air movie theaters.

Although organizers have not yet revealed the 2026 lineup, attendees can expect a mix of beloved classics, fan favorites, and visually stunning films spanning multiple genres. The carefully curated selections have become a hallmark of the event, drawing thousands of New Yorkers and visitors to the Midtown park each summer.

This year’s series begins slightly later than in previous years, but organizers say audiences can still look forward to ten consecutive weeks of cinematic entertainment under the city skyline.

For many New Yorkers, Paramount+ Movie Nights have become synonymous with summer. Long before the opening credits roll, visitors spread blankets across the lawn, enjoy picnics with friends and family, and take in the atmosphere that has made Bryant Park one of the city’s most vibrant gathering places.

The lawn will open at 5 p.m. each Monday, allowing moviegoers plenty of time to claim a spot before screenings begin promptly at 8 p.m.

Food and beverages will once again be part of the experience. Guests can purchase a variety of options from vendors at Hester Street Fair, while Stout NYC will offer beer and wine selections for adults looking to pair refreshments with their movie night.

The outdoor screenings continue to be one of the signature events organized by Bryant Park Corporation, which hosts a wide range of free cultural, recreational, and community programs throughout the year. The movie series, in particular, has become a summertime destination that attracts residents from all five boroughs as well as tourists seeking a classic New York experience.

Part of the event’s enduring appeal is its simplicity. In an era of streaming services and on-demand entertainment, the series offers an opportunity for audiences to gather collectively and enjoy films in a communal setting.

With the lineup announcement expected in the coming weeks, anticipation is already building among movie fans eager to see which titles will light up the giant screen this summer.

Whether visitors come for the films, the atmosphere, or simply a relaxing evening outdoors, Paramount+ Movie Nights at Bryant Park promises another season of unforgettable summer memories beneath the Manhattan skyline.
