Summer concert season is heating up as alternative rock favorites 311 and Dirty Heads prepare to bring their highly anticipated “So Glad You Made It” co-headlining tour to New York’s Northwell at Jones Beach Theater on July 16.
The tour reunites two of the most successful acts in the alternative rock and reggae-rock scenes, delivering a night packed with fan favorites, new music and laid-back summer vibes. Joining the bands on the Wantagh stop will be Australian surf-rock outfit Ocean Alley and longtime reggae-rock favorite ROME.
Produced by Live Nation, the North American tour kicks off July 11 in Minnesota before making its way through major cities across the United States and Canada. The Jones Beach performance is expected to be one of the tour’s marquee East Coast stops, bringing together multiple generations of fans who have embraced the bands’ genre-blending sounds.
For Dirty Heads, the tour arrives at a pivotal moment. The California-based group is preparing to release its ninth studio album, 7 Seas, on June 12. The album’s lead single, “One of Those Days,” showcases the band’s signature fusion of reggae rhythms, hip-hop influences and feel-good melodies that have helped them build a devoted following over the past two decades.
Known for hits including “Vacation,” “Lay Me Down” and “Oxygen,” Dirty Heads have become a staple of summer playlists thanks to their sun-soaked sound and positive energy. The new album promises to continue that tradition while exploring fresh musical territory.
Meanwhile, 311 enters the tour fresh off another successful 311 Day celebration in Las Vegas, where fans gathered for special performances, exclusive events and the debut of the first-ever 311 Museum. More than 30 years into their career, the Nebraska-born band remains one of alternative rock’s most enduring live acts, known for blending rock, reggae, funk and rap into a style all their own.
The group continues to maintain a fiercely loyal fan base through annual events, cruises and immersive fan experiences that have become hallmarks of the 311 community.
Concertgoers attending the Jones Beach show can expect an evening filled with classic hits, deep cuts and newer material from both bands. Premium VIP experiences are also available, including meet-and-greet opportunities, exclusive merchandise and early venue access.
With Ocean Alley, ROME, 311 and Dirty Heads all sharing the bill, the July 16 concert promises to be one of the season’s biggest celebrations of alternative rock and reggae-infused music on Long Island.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. at Northwell at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh.
