Great South Bay Music Festival Returns to Long Island With Sublime, My Morning Jacket and Four Days of Waterfront Fun

Long Island’s biggest summer music celebration is turning 18 in style. The Great South Bay Music Festival returns to Shorefront Park in Patchogue Village from July 23-26 with an impressive lineup of rock, reggae, jam bands, punk and alternative acts performing across four days on the waterfront.

The annual festival has become one of the region’s premier live music events, drawing thousands of fans with its diverse lineup, scenic Great South Bay backdrop and family-friendly atmosphere.

Leading this year’s lineup are My Morning Jacket, Sublime, Gov’t Mule, The Used, Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers, Little Feat, Bayside, Common Kings, Sierra Hull, KOYO, Cartel and dozens of other artists. In total, the festival will feature 55 performers across three stages, celebrating everything from classic rock and reggae to ska, funk, emo, bluegrass and electronic pop.

Thursday opens with a nostalgic celebration of early 2000s alternative, emo and pop-punk music. Headliners The Used will take the stage alongside Long Island favorites Bayside, with additional performances from Cartel, KOYO, Deadlands and more.

Friday transforms the waterfront into a reggae-rock beach party led by Sublime, featuring Jakob Nowell, son of the band’s late frontman Bradley Nowell, alongside original members Eric Wilson and Bud Gaugh. The evening also includes performances by Common Kings, The Ries Brothers and Mystic Bowie’s Talking Dreads.

Saturday belongs to jam-band fans, with Gov’t Mule headlining alongside Bruce Hornsby & the Noisemakers. Bluegrass star Sierra Hull, LaMP and several improvisational acts round out a day dedicated to extended musical explorations and virtuoso performances.

The festival wraps up Sunday with My Morning Jacket delivering a genre-bending headline performance, while legendary rock band Little Feat appears as part of its farewell tour. Additional performances celebrating the music of Bob Weir will help close out the weekend.

Beyond the music, festivalgoers can browse an artisan marketplace, sample gourmet food from dozens of vendors and enjoy craft beverages, ready-to-drink cocktails and nonalcoholic options. A pop-up from Happy Days Dispensary will also be featured.

Families are welcome, with dedicated children’s entertainment scheduled throughout Saturday and Sunday, including live music, magic shows, puppetry and interactive performances.

The Great South Bay Music Festival also continues its philanthropic mission by donating a portion of every ticket sold to the GSB-Stony Brook Cancer Center Fund, which has raised more than $250,000 to support cancer care. The festival also provides space for local nonprofit organizations focused on community outreach, pet rescue, domestic violence awareness and voter registration.

Tickets, including general admission, VIP and four-day passes, are on sale now. Children under 10 are admitted free with a ticketed adult.
