Nova Maldives is inviting travelers to celebrate the holiday season with a program that combines traditional festivities, wellness, creativity and marine conservation.

The resort’s “The Garden Within” program will run from Dec. 19, 2026, through Jan. 7, 2027, offering guests a holiday experience built around the idea of using the festive season as a time for renewal and personal growth.

The program will include traditional celebrations alongside wellness and creative activities. Among the highlights is a tree-lighting ceremony, followed by Grand Holhuashi storytelling on Christmas Day. Guests can also participate in Ayurvedic rituals under the stars, a potti-making workshop and a sound journey beneath the Cold Moon on Christmas Eve.

Food will be another central part of the holiday program. Mizu, the resort’s overwater restaurant, will feature two special menus during the season. Couples can also book a private Castaway sandbank experience, while guests interested in Maldivian cuisine can take part in Soul Kitchen’s Truly Maldivian Flavours workshop.

The resort is also emphasizing experiences that connect guests with the natural environment surrounding the island.

Ocean activities will include whale shark snorkeling and manta quests, giving visitors opportunities to explore some of the Maldives’ marine life. Guests can also participate in Nova Maldives’ conservation efforts by sponsoring a coral frame, contributing to the resort’s marine restoration initiatives.

The holiday program reflects a growing interest in experiential travel, where visitors seek more than traditional sightseeing and instead prioritize wellness, culture, food and meaningful connections with the destinations they visit.

For Nova Maldives, that approach extends to the way it presents the festive season. Rather than treating the holidays solely as a period of celebration, “The Garden Within” frames the weeks around Christmas and New Year as a chance for guests to slow down, reconnect and begin the year with renewed intention.

The resort’s combination of wellness activities, culinary experiences, cultural programming and ocean adventures provides travelers with multiple ways to experience the Maldives beyond its beaches.

With its festive calendar stretching from late December into the first week of January, the program is designed to appeal to couples, families and travelers looking for a more immersive holiday escape.

Nova Maldives is expected to release additional details about the program in the coming months as the resort prepares for the 2026-27 festive season.
