Las Vegas is putting a frighteningly fun spin on wedding celebrations this Halloween, with local chapels offering zombie ministers, horror movie characters, gothic floral arrangements and customized ceremonies for couples who want something beyond a traditional walk down the aisle.
Known as the Wedding Capital of the World, Southern Nevada has built a reputation for making unconventional wedding dreams a reality. This October, couples can celebrate their love with themes inspired by horror films, supernatural characters and all things spooky, combining the destination’s convenient wedding experience with personalized entertainment.
At Lucky Little Wedding Chapel, the Love Potion No. 9 package offers a Halloween-inspired ceremony featuring a floral arch, chapel decorations, black veil rental, themed props, a silk bouquet and boutonniere rental. Couples can also participate in a unity sand or candle ceremony. Priced at $999, the package accommodates up to 26 guests and includes an officiant, two custom songs, professional photography and videography, and digital images. Additional options include hair and makeup services, wedding attire and specialty officiants.
The chapel also creates fully customized celebrations inspired by favorite movies and characters. A Beetlejuice-themed wedding, for example, can incorporate a coordinated aisle runner, themed florals, decorative bugs and a sandworm-inspired element, allowing couples to bring their cinematic vision to life.
The historic Little Church of the West offers another option with its Till Death Do Us Part package. Couples can choose a traditional minister, Elvis, Johnny Cash or a zombie minister to officiate their ceremony. The experience can include black baccara roses or deep purple calla lilies, special decorations and Halloween-inspired music.
The $1,099 package also includes a heart-shaped wedding cake, professional photography, a downloadable ceremony video, a custom-designed certificate holder and other amenities. Additional Halloween details throughout the chapel and garden contribute to the atmosphere.
For couples who prefer a direct connection to slasher-film culture, The Little Vegas Chapel offers Our Killer Wedding, a $719 ceremony featuring Michael Myers. Held inside the Imperial Chapel, the eight- to 12-minute experience includes posed photos with the horror character, themed music or two songs selected by the couple, a dark rose bouquet and matching boutonniere, professional photography and a private online gallery. Up to 24 guests can attend.
Clark County Clerk Lynn Marie Goya said Halloween provides another opportunity to showcase the creativity of Las Vegas weddings.
“If couples can dream it, Las Vegas finds a way to make it happen,” Goya said, noting that the destination has long welcomed unconventional ceremonies and celebrations.
She also pointed to the history of celebrities and entertainers who married in Las Vegas, adding to the city’s distinctive wedding identity.
From gothic romance to full-fledged horror themes, the seasonal offerings demonstrate how couples can tailor their ceremonies to reflect their personalities and shared interests.
