Las Vegas audiences will have a new reason to celebrate the legendary sounds of Motown as powerhouse vocalist and entertainer Patrice Petway joins the cast of Soul of Motown at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino.
A Detroit native with deep roots in soul, R&B and Motown music, Petway brings an extensive performance background and dynamic stage presence to the award-winning production. Her addition adds another accomplished vocalist to a show that celebrates the music and artists who helped shape American popular culture.
Petway’s career has taken her from recording studios and international stages to some of Las Vegas’ best-known entertainment productions. She was previously signed to LL Cool J’s Rock the Bells/Warner Bros. label and worked as an artist and songwriter with Grammy-nominated production team PAJAM.
Her Las Vegas credits include Hitzville at Planet Hollywood, Heartbreak Hotel at Harrah’s and a featured lead vocalist role in Motown Extreme. She also recently headlined and produced her own residency, Flashback: Tina Turner and Friends, a musical tribute celebrating the work of Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Diana Ross and other iconic performers.
For Petway, joining Soul of Motown represents a meaningful connection to the music she grew up with in Detroit. The production gives her an opportunity to celebrate the genre’s enduring influence while performing for audiences from around the world.
The show takes place at the intimate Westgate Cabaret, one of the few remaining traditional cabaret-style venues in Las Vegas. Its concert-style format takes audiences on a musical journey through the early days of doo-wop, R&B and Motown, featuring songs associated with legendary performers including The Temptations, The Platters, The Drifters, Smokey Robinson and The Miracles, Sam Cooke, The Jackson 5, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight and the Pips.
Jackie Miranda, founder and director of DDM Productions, welcomed Petway as a strong addition to the cast, citing her vocal talent, experience and stage presence. Westgate’s Vice President of Marketing and Entertainment, Dawn Rawle, also highlighted the venue’s intimate setting and its ability to connect audiences with performers.
Soul of Motown performs at the Westgate Cabaret inside Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino. Tickets start at $32.50, plus taxes and fees. Performance dates, showtimes and ticket information are available through the resort’s official website.
