Travelers looking for a more comfortable way to explore Europe can now book a premium overnight bus experience through Omio, following the travel platform’s partnership with Twiliner, which operates Europe’s first night bus featuring fully lie-flat seats.

Announced Sept. 18, 2026, the partnership gives Omio customers access to Twiliner’s overnight services on select European routes, expanding the platform’s transportation options for travelers seeking alternatives to flights, traditional buses and overnight trains.

Twiliner is designed to make overnight travel more comfortable and convenient. Passengers board in a city center during the evening, settle into lie-flat seats and sleep through the journey before arriving at their destination the following morning. The service is particularly appealing to travelers looking to minimize airport hassles, save on overnight hotel accommodations and make better use of their travel time.

At launch, Omio customers can book Twiliner tickets on two routes. The first connects Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg, Basel and Zurich. The second links Barcelona, Girona, Bern and Zurich.

Twiliner currently operates almost daily departures along both routes and plans to expand its network in the coming years, with the goal of connecting approximately 30 European destinations.

Beyond its reclining sleeping arrangements, the buses offer amenities designed to make longer journeys more enjoyable. Passengers have access to bedding, complimentary Wi-Fi, personal charging outlets, reading lights, fold-out tables and individual storage. Additional features include a spacious restroom, a separate changing room, complimentary coffee and water, luggage allowances and an onboard snack bar.

Facundo Viguie Aleman, chief marketing officer at Omio, said the partnership responds to growing demand for more comfortable, low-stress overnight travel options. By incorporating Twiliner into its booking platform, Omio aims to make it easier for customers to discover and compare premium overnight transportation alongside other travel options.

Twiliner CEO Luca Bortolani said the company was founded on the idea that travelers should not have to sacrifice comfort to travel overnight. He added that partnering with Omio will introduce the service to more customers as they compare transportation options across Europe.

The addition reflects Omio’s broader strategy of expanding its selection of transportation providers and multimodal travel experiences. The platform works with more than 3,000 transport providers across more than 50 countries, allowing customers to compare and book train, bus, flight and ferry services in one place.

For travelers exploring Europe, Twiliner offers another option for reaching their next destination while turning travel time into an opportunity to rest.
