Entrepreneur Jennifer Grace Jennings is transforming her personal journey into a national platform centered on ownership, economic empowerment, and generational wealth. This week, that mission arrives in Harlem with a stop on her expanding Assets & Ancestry National Tour.

The Harlem event will take place on April 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Harlem Commonwealth Council, bringing together community members, business leaders, and aspiring entrepreneurs for a focused conversation on financial literacy and legacy-building.

Jennings’ story anchors the movement. After experiencing housing insecurity in New York City, she went on to found Funlayo Grace, a U.S.-based textile manufacturing company that has grown into a nationally recognized brand. She is now leading a $155 million expansion effort aimed at strengthening domestic manufacturing while creating jobs nationwide.

Her journey is further detailed in her book, “Homelessness to Homeownership: How I Purchased Four Properties In One Year—and How You Can Too,” which blends personal insight with actionable strategies for building wealth. Through the Assets & Ancestry Tour, Jennings is taking those lessons directly into communities, offering both inspiration and practical tools.

The Harlem stop is designed as an immersive experience. The program will include a keynote from Jennings, a panel discussion exploring wealth, ancestry, and ownership, and an interactive workshop encouraging attendees to trace and understand their family history. A book signing and networking session will follow, with veteran radio journalist Doug Davis serving as host.

Beyond her work in manufacturing, Jennings is positioning herself at the intersection of business and cultural advocacy. Her initiatives extend into maternal health, youth development, and community-based programming, reflecting a broader commitment to sustainable impact.

The Harlem gathering also signals the next phase of Jennings’ national strategy, with a major announcement expected as part of her continued expansion.

As conversations around wealth equity and access continue, Jennings is advancing a clear and consistent message: ownership is attainable—and the path to achieving it can be learned.
