Red, Irritated Skin? K-Beauty Brand TIRTIR Expands Matcha-Powered Line Promising Major Relief

For anyone battling redness, irritation, or sensitive skin, one of K-beauty’s fastest-growing brands is betting that matcha may be the answer.

TIRTIR has expanded its Matcha collection with four new products designed to calm stressed skin, reduce visible redness, and strengthen the skin barrier. The launch builds on the success of the brand’s Matcha Calming Cream and Matcha Skin Toner, creating a complete skincare routine centered around its proprietary Matcha PDRN complex sourced from Jeju Island.

Unlike traditional PDRN, which is often derived from salmon DNA, TIRTIR’s Matcha PDRN is plant-based, offering an alternative approach to skin recovery and barrier support. The ingredient serves as the foundation of the entire collection, which aims to soothe inflammation while improving hydration and skin texture.

Leading the new lineup is the Matcha Pack Cleanser ($17), a unique pack-to-foam formula that combines 5,000 ppm Matcha PDRN with exfoliating acids. The cleanser targets excess oil, pore congestion, and buildup while helping calm redness. According to clinical testing, it reduced pore impurities by approximately 16 percent after a single use.

The Matcha Dual Serum ($29) introduces a bi-phase formula that blends a cream layer with an ampoule. Featuring 2 percent Matcha PDRN and 5 percent niacinamide, the serum focuses on hydration, barrier repair, and redness reduction. Clinical studies showed visible redness improvement of up to 33 percent within 24 hours.

For those looking for an instant cooling effect, the Matcha Tea Pads ($29) offer a convenient toner pad infused with matcha water and 1 percent Matcha PDRN. The dual-sided pads help soothe, de-puff, and refine skin texture while lowering skin temperature by more than 5 degrees Celsius after use.

Rounding out the new launches is the Matcha Bubble Tea Scrub ($20), a customizable exfoliator featuring matcha cellulose pearls and konjac. Designed to gently remove dead skin cells without causing irritation, the scrub reportedly removes up to 85 percent of dead skin buildup while avoiding additional redness.

The expanded collection also includes the Matcha Calming Cream ($25), a lightweight moisturizer formulated with peptides and 10,000 ppm Matcha PDRN, and the Matcha Skin Toner ($25), a mildly acidic formula shown to improve redness and hydration levels.

TIRTIR’s Matcha collection reflects the growing demand for skincare products that prioritize skin barrier health while delivering visible results. As consumers increasingly seek gentle yet effective solutions, the brand’s matcha-powered approach is positioning itself at the center of the sensitive-skin conversation.
