The InterContinental Paris Le Grand is redefining the cocktail experience with the launch of “Tempora,” a new bar menu that gives equal billing to alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations through a concept centered on reflection, seasonality, and craftsmanship.
Inspired by the changing seasons and the fleeting beauty of nature, Tempora pairs each signature cocktail with an alcohol-free counterpart designed to deliver the same complexity, balance, and flavor profile. Rather than treating mocktails as substitutes, the hotel positions them as standalone creations crafted with the same attention to detail as traditional cocktails.
“Tempora” features four seasonal drinks, each highlighting a distinct flavor palette while showcasing mirrored interpretations in both cocktail and mocktail form.
Leading the collection is Bom Hwa, a delicate, Asian-inspired drink blending peach-infused soy, peach liqueur, rice milk, and peach purée with Kori Dashi iced tea infused with cherry blossom. The result is a creamy, floral beverage that emphasizes subtle sweetness and smooth textures.
For guests seeking bolder flavors, Hibiscal combines house-made bissap with mezcal and hibiscus syrup, balancing smoky notes with bright acidity for a vibrant finish.
Rouge Printemps offers a fruit-forward profile built around Monkey 47 gin, goji berry liqueur, fresh lemon juice, and homemade goji syrup. The drink delivers lively citrus flavors complemented by gentle sweetness.
Rounding out the menu is the Red Velvet Old Fashioned, a reinterpretation of the classic bourbon cocktail. Made with Woodford Reserve infused with red berries, it layers notes of cherry and chocolate while a clarified red berry yogurt adds a silky mouthfeel and aromatic richness.
Each of the four drinks is also available as a carefully crafted mocktail.
“Here, alcohol-free is no longer a default alternative but the sophisticated mirror image of true mixology expertise,” said Kevin Jolivet, Director of Food & Beverage at the hotel. “We do not offer substitutes, but genuine creations designed to be fully experienced—for the duration of a season.”
The launch reflects a broader trend in hospitality as luxury hotels and bars expand premium non-alcoholic offerings to meet growing consumer demand for sophisticated zero-proof beverages.
Located across from the Palais Garnier, the InterContinental Paris Le Grand has been a Paris landmark since opening in 1862 during the reign of Napoleon III. The five-star property is home to the historic Café de la Paix, the Salon Opéra ballroom, and La Verrière, its expansive winter garden.
The Tempora menu is available daily from noon until midnight. Cocktails are priced at €25, while mocktails are €18, offering guests a choice that prioritizes flavor and creativity regardless of whether alcohol is on the menu.
