Italian jewelry designer Alberto Luzzi brought an intimate dose of Italian craftsmanship and downtown New York style to Fashion Week with the unveiling of the new Fine Jewelry Room at his SoHo flagship.
Luzzi and business partner Nic Canal welcomed guests to the store at 102 Thompson St. for an evening featuring champagne, caviar and a first look at the designer’s fine jewelry collection and one-of-a-kind creations.
The new Fine Jewelry Room expands the experience at Luzzi’s SoHo flagship, which opened in October 2025. The space gives clients a more intimate setting to explore the designer’s work, including pieces that combine traditional Italian craftsmanship with a distinctly New York sensibility.
With more than two decades in jewelry design, Luzzi has developed a signature style defined by sculptural forms, texture, movement and color. His collections include statement earrings, necklaces, bracelets and rings crafted with materials such as gold vermeil, sterling silver, diamonds and gemstones.
Among the gemstones featured in his designs are blue topaz, kyanite and amethyst, adding vibrant color and dimension to pieces designed to function as both accessories and wearable works of art.
The NYFW gathering brought together a mix of fashion, culture and social figures for an evening centered on craftsmanship and individuality. Notable attendees included Luzzi, Canal, Carmen D’Alessio, Maribel Lieberman, Keiko Aoki, Silvia Frieser, Maggie Williams, Lauren Marie and Jose Gregorio Penaloza.
The event also highlighted Luzzi’s approach to jewelry as a form of personal expression. Rather than relying solely on traditional luxury conventions, his designs emphasize distinctive shapes, handcrafted details and versatility, giving clients an opportunity to select pieces that reflect their individual style.
The opening of the Fine Jewelry Room comes as downtown Manhattan continues to serve as a destination for independent designers, luxury brands and creative talent during New York Fashion Week.
