Hempstead, New York – Black Men from throughout the Eastern New York area gathered in Hempstead, New York on April 19th, 2023 to have a dialogue concerning breaking down barriers to Mental Healthcare. The panel was the brainchild of 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, and it was comprised of a diverse group of men all members of the 100 Black Men of Eastern New York, Inc.
This groundbreaking healthcare series is one of 100 Black Men of America, Inc.’s signature programs, and falls under one of the tenants of its FOUR FOR THE FUTURE programmatic mission. The Health and Wellness series is a part of our ongoing commitment to empower the community that we were chartered to serve in Eastern New York.
In addition to this panel, the “100” will be presenting their “Let’s Talk About It Series” to a wider segment of the community. Health and Wellness needs to one of our top priorities as a community; for without health there is no wealth. Health and Wellness educational programs will also be a vital component of our mentoring programs.
