
This spring, the Museum of the Moving Image (MoMI) is offering an action-packed lineup of exhibitions, screenings, and family-friendly programming sure to thrill film lovers of all ages. Beginning April 18, the Museum debuts Mission: Impossible—Story and Spectacle, a major exhibition exploring the iconic film franchise’s behind-the-scenes magic.
MoMI’s calendar also features a screening series with renowned film scholar Tom Gunning on April 26–27. The weekend includes discussions, short films, and classics like Fritz Lang’s M and Hal Hartley’s Flirt.
Beginning April 25, the Museum will showcase four cutting-edge virtual reality projects from Taiwanese creators, offering an immersive exploration of storytelling through technology.
Every Saturday through April 19, MoMI continues its Access Mornings for families with autistic children. Funded by the J.E. & Z.B. Butler Foundation, this free program includes early Museum access, educator-led activities, and a light breakfast.
Film fans can also enjoy Friday Date Night, a $50 special for two that includes admission, drinks at Mon Amour café, a flipbook discount, and an optional evening screening—available through June.
Highlights from upcoming screenings include Carson Lund’s nostalgic baseball drama Eephus (April 12–13) and Brazil’s Academy Award-winning I’m Still Here directed by Walter Salles (April 12–13).
