Board-certified clinical psychologist and parenting expert Dr. Jenny Yip is beginning a new chapter—living in Portugal for a year while her Los Angeles home in the Palisades is rebuilt. Even while abroad, Dr. Yip is continuing to manage her businesses and provide insight into maintaining mental health during transitions.
With nearly two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Yip is recognized nationally for her work in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), anxiety, and parenting. She has developed Family Systems Based Strategic Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and specializes in evidence-based approaches that empower individuals to overcome anxiety, OCD, postpartum psychosis, and related challenges.
Dr. Yip founded the Renewed Freedom Center – Los Angeles in 2008, which offers advanced treatment for severe OCD and anxiety disorders. In 2016, she launched the Little Thinkers Center – Los Angeles to support children with academic challenges and help them develop confidence, creativity, and resiliency. Beyond her clinical practice, she serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at USC Keck School of Medicine and contributes to multiple professional boards dedicated to improving mental wellness.
An author and speaker, Dr. Yip’s published works include Productive, Successful You: End Procrastination by Making Anxiety Work for You Rather Than Against You. Her latest book, Hello Baby, Goodbye Intrusive Thoughts: Stop the Spiral of Anxiety and OCD to Reclaim Wellness on Your Motherhood Journey, is now available for pre-order on Amazon. In it, she shares evidence-based CBT and exposure and response prevention (ERP) strategies designed to help mothers quiet intrusive thoughts and build deeper connections with their children.
As she navigates life in Portugal, Dr. Yip continues to emphasize balance, resiliency, and mental wellness—values that remain central to both her personal journey and professional mission.
