Families looking to trade traditional Father’s Day gifts for an unforgettable outdoor adventure have a new reason to head to Long Island this June.
The Adventure Park at Long Island is celebrating Father’s Day with a special buy-one-get-one-free climbing promotion on June 21, giving dads the opportunity to tackle zip lines, rope bridges, and aerial challenges at no additional cost.
Located in Wheatley Heights, the popular attraction is the largest zipline and climbing park on Long Island and has become a favorite destination for families seeking outdoor recreation. The Father’s Day offer allows guests who purchase one three-hour climbing ticket to receive a second ticket free for Dad.
“There’s something special about watching families challenge themselves together outdoors,” said Park Manager Phil Insalaco. “Father’s Day at the Park is always one of our favorite days of the season.”
The promotion is valid only on Father’s Day during regular operating hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can reserve tickets online or by phone.
But the Father’s Day celebration actually begins a day earlier.
On June 20, the park will host its “Rad Dad: An 80s Glow in the Park” event, transforming the aerial adventure courses into a glowing nighttime experience complete with retro music, neon-themed fun, and illuminated climbing trails. Organizers describe the event as a playful tribute to dads and a unique way to kick off Father’s Day weekend.
The Adventure Park features 14 separate aerial trails that vary in difficulty and include challenges such as suspended bridges, tightropes, ladders, and an impressive collection of 49 ziplines. Participants navigate the courses while secured to a continuous safety system designed to keep climbers attached throughout their adventure.
While many of the trails are designed for ages 7 through adult, younger visitors are not left out. The park’s Adventure Playground offers a lower-to-the-ground experience created specifically for children ages 3 to 6.
One of the park’s family-friendly features is that non-climbing guests are admitted free of charge. Parents, grandparents, and friends can relax on the property, explore nature trails, or enjoy picnic areas while others tackle the courses.
The Father’s Day promotion also comes just before the start of the park’s summer season. Beginning June 27, The Adventure Park will operate daily through Labor Day.
For frequent visitors, the park is also promoting its Adventure Anytime Monthly Pass, which allows unlimited climbing visits throughout the month.
Whether it’s soaring across ziplines, navigating treetop obstacles, or simply spending quality time outdoors, The Adventure Park is offering families a chance to celebrate Father’s Day with an experience that’s a little more adventurous than the usual necktie or coffee mug.
