
Barkue Tubman-Zawolo, a business executive, global strategist and communications leader known for connecting business, culture and economic development, has signed with Midori Star Media Group.
The New York-based media company announced the partnership as part of its expanding roster of clients, with plans to elevate Tubman-Zawolo’s executive expertise, entrepreneurial work and international leadership through strategic media opportunities.
Tubman-Zawolo is the Founder and CEO of MBL INTL Group, a strategic consulting firm focused on developing partnerships across Africa, the United States and the global Black diaspora. Her career has included work in entrepreneurship, business development, media and cultural diplomacy, with an emphasis on creating relationships that can expand markets and support economic growth.
Her experience also includes serving as Special Envoy for National Branding and Economic Diplomacy for the Republic of Liberia, a role that placed her at the intersection of international business, government and economic development.
Through MBL INTL Group, Tubman-Zawolo has advised organizations on strategic growth, stakeholder engagement, brand partnerships and international market expansion. Her work has focused on strengthening connections between African markets and the diaspora while creating opportunities for collaboration among businesses, investors, government entities, nonprofits and entrepreneurs.
She is also the founder of Power WalkHER Global, a platform and community designed for high-achieving women, bringing together culture, business and social impact. In addition, Tubman-Zawolo founded The Boss Lady Effect, a nonprofit organization focused on supporting women and girls and accelerating socioeconomic development.
The new representation will focus on increasing visibility around Tubman-Zawolo’s work through media placements, speaking opportunities, interviews and strategic brand positioning. The partnership is intended to highlight her perspective on leadership, entrepreneurship, global business and diaspora engagement.
Tubman-Zawolo currently serves as Chief Community Officer at SMTG, the parent company of Essence. Her work across corporate, entrepreneurial and community spaces has helped establish her as a connector between industries and communities.
