Travelers looking for a vacation that combines Western adventure with luxury are getting a new option in Southern Arizona.
Otero Ranch, a seasonal all-inclusive dude ranch presented by True Ranch Collection in partnership with Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, will open November 15, 2026, on historic land in the Santa Cruz River Valley. The experience will combine horseback riding and traditional ranch activities with championship golf, Southwestern dining, spa amenities and cultural excursions.
The ranch will operate through April 30, 2027, giving winter travelers an opportunity to experience Arizona’s ranching heritage while staying at a luxury resort.
Guests can spend their mornings horseback riding, hiking or trying 3D archery among mesquite and cottonwood trees along the Santa Cruz River. Later in the day, they can trade cowboy boots for golf shoes and play a round on Tubac Golf Resort’s 27-hole championship course, set against the Santa Rita Mountains.
The all-inclusive package also encourages visitors to explore the surrounding community. Guests can visit Tubac’s galleries, museums and shops or take a trip to the historic Tumacácori Mission.
The property itself has deep roots in Southern Arizona history. The Otero family operated cattle on the land for nearly 150 years before the property was transformed into a resort in 1959 by a group of Hollywood investors that included actor and entertainer Bing Crosby.
Today, the resort combines that history with modern accommodations and amenities. Rooms and suites feature Southwestern-style décor, leather furnishings, fireplaces and patios overlooking the mountains and golf course.
Dining is also part of the experience. Guests can enjoy elevated ranch-style cuisine at the resort’s Stables Ranch Grille, along with breakfast cookouts and sack lunches designed for days spent on the trail.
Evenings offer opportunities to relax and socialize, with cocktail hours and Southern Arizona wine and tequila tastings included in the experience.
Rates for Otero Ranch start at $450 per person per night based on double occupancy, with a minimum three-night stay required. The package includes accommodations, all meals, horseback riding, ranch activities, a daily round of golf, special events, local tours and use of resort amenities. Spa and salon treatments are available for an additional charge, with select services offered at a discount for ranch guests.
The partnership builds on an earlier Otero Ranch pop-up experience at the resort. Its success helped inspire the creation of the seasonal program.
For True Ranch Collection and Tubac Golf Resort & Spa, the goal is to preserve the property’s Western heritage while offering travelers a contemporary luxury experience.
The result is a vacation that allows guests to experience Southern Arizona in several ways—from the saddle and golf course to the dining table and spa—without having to choose between adventure and relaxation.
