‘SIX’ Hits 2,000 Broadway Performances as Four New Queens Join the Cast

Broadway’s history-making musical SIX is reaching another major milestone as the Tony Award-winning production celebrates its 2,000th performance while welcoming four new Queens to its royal lineup.

The milestone will take place Monday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. at the Lena Horne Theatre, where SIX is now in its fifth year on Broadway. The production has become the longest-running show to play at the theater and is now the 40th longest-running show in Broadway history.

Joining the current cast are Chloe Tucker Caine as Anne Boleyn, Natalie Paris as Jane Seymour, Aimie Atkinson as Katherine Howard and Stephanie Jae Park as Catherine Parr. They will join current Queens Khaila Wilcoxon as Catherine of Aragon and Olivia Donalson as Anna of Cleves.

The cast also includes Lauryn Adams, Aryn Bohannon, Maggie Likcani and Aiyana Smash as alternates.

The new lineup brings together performers with extensive theater experience. Caine, who appeared in “Owning Manhattan,” previously performed in the national tour of Mamma Mia! Paris and Atkinson both have deep connections to SIX, having originated their respective roles in the show’s original U.K. production. Park is known for her work in Hamilton, while Atkinson also appeared in Beetlejuice.

Paris and Atkinson are making their Broadway debuts with the production. They can also be seen in SIX The Musical Live!, a filmed capture of the original West End production recorded at London’s Vaudeville Theatre. The film was released in U.S. and Canadian theaters Aug. 14.

Created by Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss, SIX transforms the six wives of Henry VIII into modern-day pop stars, giving each Queen an opportunity to reclaim her story through music and performance. The production combines Tudor history with contemporary pop, rock and concert aesthetics to create a distinctly modern musical.

Since opening on Broadway Oct. 3, 2021, SIX has become a global theatrical phenomenon. The production has won 23 awards, including the 2022 Tony Award for Best Original Score, and has earned recognition from critics and audiences for its energetic approach to historical storytelling.

The show’s original Broadway cast recording, SIX: LIVE ON OPENING NIGHT, also made history as the first original Broadway cast recording recorded live on opening night. The album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard cast album chart and has accumulated more than 198 million streams.

With productions currently running across the United States, London, the U.K. and Ireland, Europe and Australia, SIX continues to prove that the story of Henry VIII’s six wives still has plenty of life — and plenty of pop-star power — centuries later.
