Atlantic Theater Company has announced its 2026–2027 season, featuring four world premieres from acclaimed playwrights and artists, along with a new Atlantic for Kids musical making its New York premiere.
The upcoming season will bring new works by Mona Pirnot, Jack D. Coen, Clare Barron, Lucas Hnath, Jackie Sibblies Drury, Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck to Atlantic’s stages in New York.
The season opens with I Became We by Obie Award winner Mona Pirnot, featuring music by Jack D. Coen and lyrics by Pirnot and Coen. The production will be directed by Obie Award winner Sarah Benson.
Also on the schedule is Too Bad For Her by Obie Award winner and Susan Smith Blackburn Prize winner Clare Barron, directed by Tony Award nominee Anne Kauffman.
Lucas Hnath’s Old Actress will be directed by Obie Award winner Les Waters and will feature Tony Award winner Deirdre O’Connell.
The fourth world premiere, Push, comes from Pulitzer Prize winner Jackie Sibblies Drury. The production will be choreographed by Tony Award winners Patricia Delgado and Justin Peck, with Peck also directing.
Together, the four productions represent a season focused on new theatrical voices and collaborations across playwriting, music, acting and dance.
The season will also include the Atlantic for Kids New York premiere of Finn. The musical features a book by Chris Nee, music by Michael Kooman and lyrics by Christopher Dimond, with Ryan Dobrin directing.
All mainstage productions will be presented at Atlantic’s Linda Gross Theater at 336 West 20th Street between Eighth and Ninth Avenues. Finn will be performed at Atlantic Stage 2 at 330 West 16th Street.
Atlantic Theater Company Artistic Director Neil Pepe and Managing Director Jeffory Lawson announced the season as the company continues its focus on developing and presenting new theatrical work.
Subscriptions for the 2026–2027 season are currently on sale at Early Bird prices. Atlantic members can receive up to 46% in savings on tickets, along with benefits including priority booking, no additional fees, unlimited exchanges and discounted guest tickets.
